Religion, Nations, and Geopolitical Review: SATURDAY, JULY 23

by A. Joseph Lynch

SYNODAL HICCUP? An unnamed official at the Vatican has issued an official Vatican warning to the Germans in their attempt to overthrow Church dogma, practice, and moral teachings. The Germans, however, have shot back an angry response. The German church continues to be the most corrupt in the world, yet its vast wealth and financial backing to the Vatican has allowed it to push things far beyond what should ever be tolerated. We hope Francis has the strength to the right thing and shut down the Synodal Way before it leads Germany into schism.

VATICAN FINANCIAL REFORM: We were all scandalized as money donated to the Vatican was used to fund a pornographic gay biopic of Elton John - but we are glad to hear that the Vatican has finally reformed its finances to ban such funding in the future. It's hard to believe, however, that such reform was ever needed in the first place.

MARSHALL SLAMS GREGORY: Cardinal Gregory in DC announced serious restrictions on the Latin Mass - and Dr. Taylor Marshall had to reply. One issue Dr. Marshall brought up is a list of statistics which claim to show the destruction of the Church following Vatican II. It's true there was a huge decline in vocations and rise in divorce - but this is true among the countries of the atheist West - in the Global South, Vatican II was truly a new springtime in the Church. Sadly traditionalists often place far too much focus on the countries of Europe and North America. The world is much, much bigger than these places. If the atheist West wants to reject God, so be it - but let us not denounce the council and wonderful fruits it bore in so many other parts of the world!

TRUMP-DESANTIS 2024? According to Robert Barnes, Donald Trump will run in 2024 with Ron DeSantis at his side. The dream ticket would be exactly what America needs, with DeSantis highly likely to gain two terms of his own in 2028 and 2032, given that he will be coming of a single Trump term rather than the two consecutive terms that doomed presidents like George HW Bush, who took office after Reagan's two terms. Axios is already flipping out over Trump's plan for a second term - which appears to include the firing of many, many government employees.

BANNON GUILTY: Steve Bannon was found guilty of contempt of Congress over his unwillingness to testify before the fraud January 6 panel. Bannon was brought before a DC jury - perhaps the most liberal in the nation - on a charge rarely seen prosecuted. This is just the first case in the political witch hunt the liberals are frantically running in fear of Trump's return. Their sights are clearly set on him - which means he needs to announce his candidacy as soon as possible.

BIDEN'S FAILED SAUDI TRIP: Joe Biden made his way to fist bump MbS in Saudi Arabia, rehabilitating the Saudi leader as he pledged absolutely nothing to Biden in return. Indeed, MbS called Putin yesterday to let him know that Saudi Arabia will not be pumping the additional oil Biden requested. Indeed, it appears Putin retains the upper hand in the Mideast, not only maintaining good terms with the Saudis, but building on Russia's relationship with Iran and Turkey as well. (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran are the three nations to have been home to the three great caliphates of Islam - and all compete for dominance in the region today.)

PUTIN'S WORLD OF NATIONS: Remarks this week from Vladimir Putin concerning the end of the American unipolar world order were striking. While the atheist West seek a return to bi-polar cold war that divides the world between "the West" and Russia-China, Putin calls for an end to American hegemony the return of a multipolar world of nations that defend traditional values:
These enormous changes are irreversible, of course. National and global processes are underway to develop the fundamentals and principles of a harmonious, fairer and more community-focused and safe world order as an alternative to the existing world order, or the unipolar world order in which we lived, and which, because of its nature, is definitely becoming a brake on the development of our civilization.
The model of total domination by the so-called golden billion is unfair. Why should this golden billion, which is only part of the global population, dominate everyone else and enforce its rules of conduct that are based on the illusion of exceptionalism? It divides the world into first and second-class people and is therefore essentially racist and neo-colonial. The underlying globalist and pseudo-liberal ideology is becoming increasingly more like totalitarianism and is restraining creative endeavor and free historical creation.
One gets the impression that the West is simply unable to offer the world a model for the future of its own. Indeed, it was no accident that the golden billion attained its gold and achieved quite a lot, but it got there not because it implemented certain concepts. It mainly got to where it is by robbing other peoples in Asia and Africa. That is how it was. India was robbed for an extensive period of time. This is why the elite of the golden billion are terrified of other global development centers potentially coming up with their own development alternatives.
No matter how much the West and the supranational elite strive to preserve the existing order, a new era and a new stage in world history are coming. Only genuinely sovereign states are in a position to ensure a high growth dynamic and become a role model for others in terms of standards of living and quality of life, the protection of traditional values and high humanistic ideals, and development models where an individual is not a means, but the ultimate goal.
Sovereignty is about freedom of national development, and thus, the development of every individual. It is about the technological, cultural, intellectual and educational solvency of a state – that is what it is. No doubt, responsible, active and nationally minded and nationally oriented civil society is the most important component of sovereignty.

RESTARTING NORD STREAM 1: Russia's Nord Stream 1, which is a key source of European natural gas in general and Germany in particular, is back up and running - though only at a meager 40% capacity. Problems with Canada sitting on necessary equipment are keeping the pipeline operating at a minimum - just enough to keep the lights on Germany, but not enough to fill its reserves. And that's not to mention the massive heatwave hitting Europe (and melting runways in the UK) - which has led the continent to use up even more energy on air conditioning. Europe is in for a very rough year ahead.

ITALY'S GOVERNMENT COLLAPSE: Mario Draghi, the prime minister of Italy, has resigned. The snap elections being held in September will likely bring conservative-nationalist rule to the nation - a wonderful development indeed. The collapse of Draghi is the next domino to fall, following the resignation of Boris Johnson in the UK, and the fall of the Estonian government last month. We await the looming collapse of the German government next. One government, however, remains firm: the Putin Government.

HOW UKRAINE STARTED THE WAR: The media would have us believe that Vladimir Putin woke up on February 24 and randomly decided to "invade" Ukraine. What they don't tell us is how Ukraine violated the provisions of the Minsk Agreement and began massive shelling of the Donbas breakaway republics in preparation of a renewed ground war - just days before Russia intervened. The maps from the non-aligned OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) are quite telling.

TONY BLAIR ADMITS THE TRUTH: It's quite rare for neoliberals or neoconservatives like Tony Blair to admit it when their crazy policies go awry - but we're glad to see Blair has come to the light and declared the war in Ukraine will be the end of the (atheist) West.

KILLING SHINZO ABE: South Front has a remarkable article about the assassination of Shinzo Abe, why the single assassin story doesn't fly, and why the globalists had Abe killed.

DEPOPULATING NATIONS: Of the twenty nations with the fastest declining populations, we are not surprised to see Japan in the top ten. The vast majority of the other declining nations are all found in eastern Europe, which had a sustaining birthrate of 2.1 in 1988 (under the Soviet Union) but dropped to a dismal 1.2 by 1998, just ten years later. The cause? Integration into the atheist West, which brought the sexual revolution east as many eastern Europeans immigrated west. What a disaster.
